From Wallaroo. Into the noise.

From Wallaroo on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, When Silence Breaks bring together metalcore, groove and death metal with a melodic edge. Their live story connects regional South Australia and Adelaide.

Their track When I Reminisce arrived on triple j Unearthed on 1 June 2024, giving listeners an introduction to the band ahead of the Contentum Cordis chapter.

By 2024, their name was on the Metal United Down Under bill at Phoenix Park in Port Pirie, alongside Hidden Intent, Life Pilot and Those Left Behind. Later that year, they were announced for a December show at the Woodshed in Royal Park with Those Left Behind, Life Pilot and Shadow Monarchy.

The Contentum Cordis chapter

The next chapter is Contentum Cordis, their debut album. The full album is scheduled for release on CD on 30 October 2026, with a song arriving on streaming platforms every fortnight from the same date.

The launch run takes in Adelaide, a hometown headline show in Wallaroo and a private celebration in Port Pirie. At the Wallaroo Metal Horror Show, the band will be joined by Discompose, Sons of Erebus and Greedy Bunch Of Parasites.
